Liberty Flyers Field Rules 2012 

                 

1.AMA insurance is required at Liberty Field.  Be safe. Fly safe.

2.All pilots must abide by AMA rules and Liberty Flyers rules.

3.Only members and their guest are allowed to fly at Liberty Field and

guest are one time only and must be in the company of a member.                                                                         

4. Entrance to the field has a locked gate, it  must be closed and

locked at all times. Lock must be locked by itself with no other lock.

5.Hours for flying at Liberty Field are 9am to Sundown, Electrics only may fly from 7am to 9am every flying day.

6.Days for flying are Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and  Sunday.

7.Park in designated area only. Park in the area south of the crosswind runway and west of the main runway, 45 ft from the runway.

   Do not drive or park on any runway.

8.While flying, stand in designated area only, on the flight line behind

    the Safety fence, west side of runway. The Safety Fences should 

    be put in position on the Flight Line when there are (4) Flyers at

    the Field. Do not stand on the runway. 

   Fly in designated area only. They are; To the East, do not fly on the

   other side of the trees right across from the flight line. To the South.

   do not fly any further south than necessary. KOA is 1/2 mile away.

   To the North, the crosswind runway is the boundary but flying more

    to the north, pass the crosswind runway  is OK.

    Do not fly behind the flight line.

    * DO NOT FLY ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BIG TREES ON

    THE EAST SIDE OF THE RUNWAY *

9.No more than (4) aircraft in the air at one time.

10.All pilots must look first then audibly announce when they take

      off, land, dead stick, going on runway, etc.     

11.All pilots must obtain their proper frequency channel clothes pin

     and make sure no one else is using that channel before they turn          

     on the transmitter. Put your, "Liberty Flyers Membership Card", on         

     the Frequency Board with your numbered clothes pin.

12.There must be a Fire Extinguisher on the Flight Line when flying.

13.GIVE THIS RULE SPECIAL NOTICE**************

    "BE AWARE" of Ultra Lights flying in the area and landing at

     Liberty Field. If this happens land as soon as possible and if that

     isn't possible, fly a holding pattern in an area you think is SAFE.

     Give the Ultra Lights the right away. The Ultra Light pilot will fly a  

     high fly-by before they do a landing approach pattern. After the

     Ultra Light lands, WAIT 3 to 5 minutes, at least 3 minutes before  

     you resume your RC flying, to make sure another Ultra Light isn't   

     landing. Sometimes they fly in groups and are 3 minutes apart.

     If no Ultra Light is seen or heard resume your RC flying.       

14.Mufflers are required on all engines Keep the loud sound down.

15.Take your trash with you when you leave.

16.Restroom available at the north end of the field.

17.Keep out of the Hangers at the north end of the field.

18.No Smoking while at Liberty Flying Field.

 STANDING RULES

 1.AMA insurance required. Think safe.

2.All members must abide by AMA rules and Liberty Flyers rules.

3.Only members are allowed to fly at Liberty Field. Guest are

   allowed to fly one time if they are in the Company of a member.

4.The club flying day will be Thursday of each week.

5.The club meeting day will be the first Wednesday of each month. .

6.All pilots will be observed by the Members Committee for their

   flying safety, flying skill and flying character before joining.

7.Yearly dues will be pro-rated by the quarter for new members. 

8.Yearly dues are due and payable on January 1, for members

    rejoining.

9.As of Jan.1,2012 the Liberty Flyers will close the membership at

   50 members. There will be a 30 day Grace Period for all present

   members to rejoin.

10.Ladies dues will be at a Special rate.
